New! Herbal Medicine Chest in Your Own Back Yard
Grow your own or just look in your backyard for a variety of plants that can assist you in healing naturally. Discover the various plants and herbs that: Relieve head and stomach aches, Muscle pains, Bruises, Burns, Bleeding, Help acne, insect bites and stings. We will explore the use of more than ten healing herbs ideal for your first aid kit. Infusions and Tinctures will be available to sample.

Creating an Herbal Medicine Wheel Garden
Learn how to create your own personal sacred space and what healing herbs to plant in the traditional American Indian way and directions. Planted with healing herbs that you can use in cooking and healing, the sacred space of a medicine wheel can also become a special garden and sanctuary for birds, butterflies, and animals whose natural wild spaces are at risk. Creating, Herb Plant Selection, Finishing Touches, Care, and Harvesting will be discussed.

Introduction to Using Plants for Natural Healing
Whether you believe in the wise woman traditions or folk medicine, you will be introduced to the many uses of plants for natural health. History and beliefs of several ‘folk remedies’ for balancing your health and identifying plants that are readily available in your own backyard will also be discussed.

Nature and Natural Healing Using Dandelions
From the flower to the root, dandelion is like a pharmacy used in cooking and healing. Learn what parts of the plant to use and how to prepare it and which parts contain the medicinal properties. Identification, facts, and recipes will be introduced.

Nature and Natural Healing Using Chickweed
Chickweed is not just a weed but is both medicinal and edible. Chickweed is very nutritious, high in vitamins and minerals, can be added to salads or cooked as a pot herb,
tasting somewhat like spinach. Enroll today and learn how this herb is used in cooking and healing. Identification, facts, and recipes will be introduced.
